My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge” (Hos. 4:6a). Read in context, this is not about merely possessing “head-knowledge”. It also challenges our false sense of security in being identified as “My people”. Being a “Christian” does not automatically spell victory!

God is not impressed by a theoretical spirituality. On the contrary, when we truly “know the truth”, it must show in our liberated lifestyles (John 8:32). It must show in our relations, morality, ethics, love, faithfulness, worship, discipline and conduct.

Today let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us to truly intimately know the truth. Then, instead of destruction, we’ll experience abundant life (John 10:10)!
