“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men” 1 Cor. 1:25.

What is the upshot of this principle? When I feel strong in the natural, that’s when I’m weak supernaturally. When I’m overconfident, then I’m vulnerable. Sometimes our volume masks our inadequacy, our laughter conceals our nervousness and our activity hides our frustration. When we act strong, then are we weak! To be spiritually strong, we must be weak in the flesh, intentionally. To be mature in understanding, we must be children in malice. We must choose to lose some arguments. We must choose to turn the other cheek. That may mean letting go of that debt you’re owed and that insult you received. Then the world labels us as weaklings. But God says we are winners. It’s His verdict that counts!
