“He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God” (Rom 4:20).
What enabled Abraham not to waver in his faith was his clarity about & grasp of the promise of God. He cherished & held on to Yahweh’s Word against all odds. When despair knocked at his door, he summoned God’s promise to take it. When arrows of unbelief threatened, he deflected them by the shield of promise-based faith. Our faith, likewise, must be firmly anchored in the promises of God. Dear friend, what promise is at the front lobe of your mind today? What Word should you be recalling and meditating upon this week? Don’t neglect it: your faith’s strength depends on it!
