“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me…”(Luke 4:18).

It’s remarkable that in the previous chapter Jesus is expressly affirmed to be the Son of God in whom God is well-pleased, but He chooses to operate purely under the assistance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, instead of from His deity. He doesn’t just know and think that He’s filled with the Spirit. He declares it. So should we. As His body, we too must intentionally invite, recognise and cherish the infinite power of God’s Spirit upon and through us. Today let’s prophesy,  declare & trust the awesome presence and anointing of the Spirit upon our lives as sons of God (Rom 8:14).
