“To proclaim good news to the poor…” (Luke 4:18c).
Our Lord’s mission in the first place comprised glad tidings. Often Christians behave like we were called to bad news! The essence of our message is infinitely positive. It’s a message of love and hope and joy. Often our sombreness denies the very faith we profess. Our meanness and negativity distort the message of the Kingdom. Let’s repent today and determine by grace through faith to live out the Good News consistently and genuinely. Let God’s goodness manifest through you (Ps 23:6).
