“Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning” (Joel 2:12).
Firstly, God’s instruction to seek Him has urgency (“now”). Secondly, it must be wholehearted. Thirdly, it must include fasting. Fourthly, it must be passionate. Thus, our pursuit of God must be immediate & holistic to be effective–it must include the spiritual, physical and emotional realms. Why the urgency? We must refuse “to go away empty handed” as this year draws to a close. His prophetic word must come to pass in our personal and corporate lives now. The “double leverage” must materialise! We are not settling for less. Praise the Lord!
