“But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them” (Hebrews 11:16)
It’s one thing not to be ashamed of God. It’s quite another for God to be unashamed of you. Why wasn’t God ashamed of these ancient faith heroes? Because they: (1) died in faith in spite of not receiving the promises (2) saw the promises afar off (3) were assured of them (4) embraced them (5) confessed that they were strangers on earth & (6) desired a celestial country (Heb. 11:13-16). Today please reflect over these 6 factors. May your Heaven-Seeking Faith thrive & may Yahweh be “proud” of you!
