“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Mat 7:7).

Yesterday we meditated on the Jericho Strategy, which entails encircling your specific challenge faithfully and repeatedly until results manifest. In today’s text, we find the same principle taught by our Saviour. The tense used for “ask” is best rendered “keep on asking”. Although our Lord discourages “vain repetition” in the previous chapter, He encourages faithful repetition in Mat 7:7. We must not be lazy in the name of faith, my dear friends! I beseech you by the mercies of God to keep on decreeing and declaring the word, keep praying without ceasing (1 Thes. 5:17) and never quit until results manifest. That’s persistent faith; faith-filled repetition.
