How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! (Ps 139:17).
Firstly, it’s quite encouraging to know that God just thinks about us at all. Secondly, it’s exciting to know that His thoughts toward us are precious. “Precious” means greatly loved and of high price. Look, God is not thinking ordinary, humdrum or boring plans over you! Thirdly, it’s terrific that God’s thoughts over us are abundant. In fact, the next verse says they are uncountable! Beloved, your Father has wonderful and unlimited ideas in store for you. Expect to discover some of them this weekend & beyond by His Spirit and His Word. Your life shall never be dull, colourless, monotonous or limited again. When this revelation truly dawns on you, your prayers can’t help but be radical and audacious!
