“Give to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!” 1 Chronicles 16:29.
The occasion of our text was celebration for the Covenant Ark’s presence in the Tabernacle. The ancient saints were then required to: (1) Give Yahweh His due glory; (2) Bring Him an offering; (3) Come before Him and (4) Worship Him in the beauty of holiness. That’s how we celebrate His Presence. His Presence is no less real now than when there was a tangible symbol of divine habitation. Jesus is the fulfilment of that “type and shadow”. He’s Immanuel, God with us, Yahweh among us! Let’s emulate this scriptural pattern with passion.
