“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Eph. 6:17).
As a good soldier of Christ, you must be skilled in using the Word both defensively and offensively. Whereas the former pertains to one’s ability to counteract satanic moves by means of the Word, the latter concerns employing the Word proactively. It’s not about waiting to react to the enemy’s moves. It’s about taking the initiative spiritually. Every time you declare God’s Word unprovoked, you’re using the Word proactively. That’s what informed disciples do! Amen.
