“Never worship any other god, because Yahweh is El Kanna. In fact, he is known for not tolerating rivals” (Ex 34:14, NOB).
Our relationship with the true God is exclusive! On one hand, as long as we uphold our fidelity to our heavenly Lord, anyone who threatens our welfare has Yahweh El Kanna to deal with! Our God is so lovingly protective of His own that He doesn’t even sleep or slumber (Ps 121:4)! On the other hand, no spiritual infidelity on our part will go unnoticed! No flirting with sin will be tolerated. No double crossing will be countenanced. Nobody else and nothing else–not our friends or family, funds or fun–shall take His place!
