‘The LORD said to Gideon, “The people with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hand, lest Israel boast over me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me” (Judges 7:2).
Gideon must have been totally blown away by God’s logic here! It’s clear from Judges 6 that Gideon was not gullible and certainly didn’t just believe things because an angel says so! It’s great that eventually he got the picture and cooperated with God’s ways. Like him, we too must “get the picture” and accept that our Heavenly Father’s ways are totally different from ours indeed! Let’s embrace His logic over ours. Let’s be willing to lose in order to win, ready to sow in order to harvest and prepared to spend in order to gain. Minority + God = Majority! Let’s achieve more with less by faith. Then God takes all the glory. Amen!
