‘But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit” (Mat 1:20).
Isn’t it amazing that God responded to Joseph’s silent, genuine thoughts? How awesome also is it that God identified Joseph by name! We too are not anonymous to God– he knows us personally. We too must not limit God’s power only to the prayers we’ve articulated. Our Lord loves to exceed our requests and imaginations (Eph. 3:20). This Christmas season, trust the Father to respond to your particular issues personally and specifically. May your unuttered concerns be addressed and your secret dreams be fulfilled. May your hidden pain be healed in Jesus’ name!
