“And did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS” (Mat 1:25).
God had instructed Joseph to name His Son “Jesus”. That’s exactly what Joseph did. This guy did not try to revise or “improve” God’s edict. He didn’t attempt to follow his own whim. He didn’t try to be “creative” in this matter, nor to be too clever for his own good! He stuck to the plan–the divine instruction. You know what? That’s exactly why God selected Joseph and Mary. There’s no way He would choose someone who would interfere with His divine agenda! Dear friend, are you able to follow God’s Word without editing, diluting or embellishing it? That’s how you receive unimaginable trust and favour from above.
