‘…saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him” (Mat 2:2).

We can’t debate here exactly how the Magi were able to follow divine guidance so accurately. But we shall reflect on the purpose of their long and difficult trip to Jerusalem on that first Christmas. Why did they go to such great lengths? Why didn’t they spare any cost to visit the Child-King? Our text clearly states that their objective was to simply worship the new born King. That’s still the right thing to do at Christmas. Everything else is secondary. Oh come, let us adore Him!
