‘Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: “A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted, Because they are no more” (Mat 2:17-18).
That all hell broke loose when our Saviour was born makes sense–tragic sense. The forces of evil were quite alarmed by the incarnation of this Son who’d forever change the destiny of all creation. To Satan, this plan had to be nipped in the bud at all costs. The enemy’s drastic reaction speaks volumes about the significance of this event we now call Christmas. Thankfully, no demon in hell can outsmart God’s plan! We are living proof that God’s grace toward us is unstoppable. Hallelujah!
