“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways” (1 Cor 13:11).

In the natural, we can readily tell one’s level of maturity through certain traits. Likewise spiritually. Firstly, your language betrays your true spiritual age. We must resolve to improve in this area this year. How about in the way you think? Are you developing in your thought life? Thirdly, how mature is your reasoning? Mature Christians reason logically, soberly and strategically. Spiritual growth is not about being emotional or dramatic! It’s reflected in the way you talk, think and reason. We have tolerated stunted spiritual growth in these areas for long enough! Let’s change this year.
