“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:14).

To exercise (gumnazō) your senses literally means to train your mental, perceptive or spiritual faculties. Most folks’ senses can judge distance, sound, odour and temperature correctly but can’t determine moral choices accurately. Our decisions tend to be haphazard and fraught with a myriad errors. Spiritually, you are mature when your senses can properly distinguish good from evil. I see your spiritual sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste getting sharpened and accurate this year. No more poor judgment & perennial errors! Hallelujah!
