“We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father” (1 Thess 1:2-3).

This church’s lifestyle provoked constant currents of apostolic intercession. First, their work was faith-driven. How powerful would your giving, service, worship and ministry be if it were motivated by faith! Your work must not be driven by fear, vanity or pride. True, we are not saved by works, but our salvation (faith) produces works! This year resolve to work tirelessly for Christ regardless of criticism, circumstances or conflict. Work simply because you believe in the One who saved and called you. Serve in His vineyard just because you trust His word, promises and rewards. Forget human applause, recognition or fame.
