“We remember without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father” (1 Th 1:3).
The third dynamic that triggered unmitigated apostolic intercession was this church’s “patience of hope”. This patience (hupomonē) is the concept of endurance, literally that ability to “wait under” the inspiration of a joyful expectation (hope). There’s a dogged, consistent and relentless commitment born out of anticipating the Return of Christ we all need. Never lose sight of the Day of Judgment (& Rewards) our Lord’s Return will usher in. When our focus is on the End, all interim challenges pale in significance. When you know that He holds the future, life is worth a living!
