“…not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God…” (Hebrews 6:1b).
The problem with the Hebrews Church was that they couldn’t get past the “foundation”. They kept needing to repeatedly revisit the basics of their faith. Likewise, our walk with Christ shouldn’t be a merry-go-round! We shouldn’t be stuck in a rut, indefinitely going through the motions of religion. If we don’t watch it, that’s exactly what will happen! We can be “ever-learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim 3:7). Then we “will progress no further, for our folly will be manifest to all” (2 Tim 3:9)! That’s not your portion this year. History must NOT repeat itself in your life! You must break out of the vicious cycle of the status quo. No more going round in circles! No to stagnation in Jesus’ mighty name!
