“The twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying…” (Rev 4:10).

The Apostle John was shown a remarkable vision of a scene round the exquisitely beautiful and majestic throne of God in heaven. The 24 elders each had a golden crown upon their heads. They represent all the saints across the ages–those who lived before and after Calvary. Their crowns represent their God-given dominion, glory and victory. As people made in His image and as the redeemed of the Lord we all have God-given crowns upon our heads. However, when we have an encounter with the One with the ultimate authority, glory and honour, our personal worth pales into insignificance. We voluntarily cast our crowns before the One that sits upon the Throne. We ascribe all the glory to His Majesty, for every blessing & achievement. Hallelujah!
