“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored?” (Mat. 5:13a).
Today we consider just two great ways believers benefit the world as salt. First, we’ve the power to season or flavour society. Our presence makes life palatable. That means we are anointed to improve our culture with the power and love of God. Believers are professional innovators and improvers. You’re a blessing in your home, job, church and to your peers. Don’t let Satan tell you otherwise! Secondly, instead of letting our world’s morals rot, we’re designed to preserve society. We shouldn’t just complain about corruption, we must help arrest the decay. Our function is to save society. We might not be thanked for it, but that’s what we do. That’s who we are. Decree and declare it.
