“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God” (Ep 3:17-19).

The label “Christian” can be quite misleading. Its application ranges from people who kinda sympathise with Christian morals to those who attend church regularly and to those who love and know Jesus unreservedly. The somewhat loose use of the term has left many satisfied by that which, according to God’s word, is far below acceptable! Our text today sheds light on the full extent of the true believer’s grounding, comprehension and capacity in Christ. A truly biblical spirituality is not one dimensional, but multidimensional.

How deep is your love for Christ? How broad, how wide and how long is your devotion and grasp of the kingdom of God? Like Paul, I also pray for all my flock to maximise their experience of God’s love, revelation and power. That’s my personal ambition too. How about you?
