“The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish!” (Ps 112:10).

This psalm ends by pointing out the reaction of the wicked to the blessing, victory and generosity of the righteous. To start with, the wicked are aware of the blessedness of the righteous. The godly must understand that they are under the spotlight and scrutiny of their demonic and human enemies. Your foes are not blind to the favour of God in your life. Sometimes your adversaries notice your progress and potential long before your friends do. Secondly, that’s why they grieve and bristle with anger over your life. Gnashing their teeth at you spells fury, despair and intimidation. Please accept that there are some folks who will just not like you, in spite of your best intentions. Thirdly, the wicked’s malicious opinions, wishes and desires shall not prevail. As long as you’re walking in the will of God, your adversaries cannot triumph over you! Your security and destiny are not at the mercy of your human or demonic enemies. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper (Isa 54:17)! Let’s personalise and proclaim this awesome promise today.
