“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place” (Ac 2:1).

Today we begin a series with a view to rediscover the profound truths embedded in the Acts narrative for our own Pentecostal experience in this generation.

To start with, we note that the saints in the Upper Room gathered and waited for the Father’s Promise together in one place and one accord. We too must shun the fallacy of spiritual independence, isolation and insulation that plagues the local church. Neither can we substitute virtual church for actual fellowship in one physical space in the name of the Lord. When we truly converge in space, time and heart, we set the stage for God to invade our atmosphere with His uncommon anointing. We have to emulate the original church’s passionate unity. The Early Church lived to enjoy the benefits. So shall we!
