“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay” (Hab 2:3).
Every true vision of God has at least four key traits. Firstly, it is fulfilled according to divine timing (kairos)–God’s appointed time. Our loving Father monitors and matches relevant factors, conditions and seasons relating to the revelation in His infinite wisdom. Secondly, a true vision typically speaks to the future. It usually addresses destiny rather than history. Thirdly, it is never idle or slow. To the carnal and impatient mind, it seems to be overdue. But not to the faithful! Don’t lose heart, dear friend, the fulfilment of God’s prophetic word over your life will not linger a day longer! Fourthly, God’s vision never lies, regardless of how incredible it may be. If we await the promises and visions of God with an assurance of their veracity, we will live to enjoy the blessing. Let that be your portion.
