‘Have you not seen a false vision and uttered a lying divination, whenever you have said, ‘Declares the LORD,’ although I have not spoken?”‘ (Ezekiel 13:7).
It’s easy for our hearts to drift away from the Holy Spirit’s frequency. When that happens we pick up spiritual vibes and messages from alien sources. Our hearts and minds must be constantly retuned accordingly.
In our context, God condemns the prophets of Israel for their false visions and untrue prophecies. These prophets do not seem to be fabricating visions. Rather they appear to be seeing something indeed. The problem is the source of their visions and divinations. God expressly denies that He is the author of these prophets’ revelations. Let’s not kid ourselves that such deception is beyond us. Unless we ensure that our hearts are tuned into the correct divine “station”, we too can be deceived. God forbid!
