“This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance” (2 Peter 3:1).

Besides immaturity, another barrier to possession of our divine heritage is indifference. The mission of Bible authors’ of old, as biblical preachers today, has to include reminders of vital truths. The reason is the leakage our minds are prone to. Unless our Gospel fires are frequently stoked and stirred up, we all run the risk of descending into spiritual apathy. The trouble with spiritual indifference is that it doesn’t loudly ring a bell or sound an alarm. It happens quietly and unobtrusively. It occurs imperceptibly and unannounced. Yet it robs heirs of salvation of their divine heritage.

I urge you to fan your Kingdom fires ablaze once again. Don’t say whatever God wants to give you will happen by His will alone. Admit your responsibility.
