“Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Rom 12:2b).

Arguably the greatest trick the devil employs against believers today is to insinuate that the will of God toward us is anything but good. When we succumb to that colossal lie, we become sceptical and suspicious of God’s word and will. Then we replace the truth with our so-called facts and human ideas. Then we miss out on the awesome benefits of living according to God’s good, perfect and acceptable will (Rom 12:2).

Beloved, don’t let anyone ever fool you that your own plans and wisdom are better than God’s word and will. Many potentially powerful believers deny their spiritual gifts because they don’t just doubt their worth but also doubt God! It hasn’t yet dawned on them that every gift from God is good and perfect (James 1:17).
