“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mar 11:24).

Church historians report that William Joseph Seymour of the Azusa Street Revivals fame believed, preached and confessed his reception of the Holy Spirit’s baptism and spiritual gifts (including tongues) before any audible or visible manifestation. I’m sure he understood the Mark 11:24 principle–that faith in the heart must be released by confession of the mouth (see also Rom 10:10).

We too should walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). Once you’ve asked the Father in faith, believe and declare that you’ve received the fullness of the Spirit and spiritual gifts. Acknowledge daily that you’re anointed (1 Jo 2:27). Praise God always for all the spiritual blessings God has blessed you with (Ep 1:3). The evidence will surely follow!
