“Then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Pro 2:5-6).
Beloved, divine wisdom is not elusive at all! If we open our heart-gates (ears, eyes, lips and mind), God’s holistic wisdom becomes ours. Note the particular blend of divine truth available to every eager believer: reverence plus knowledge plus wisdom plus understanding! Compare Jam 3:17, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy”.
Beloved, while it is possible for one to have a high IQ and still be obnoxious and arrogant, not so with the wisdom from above! Let us admit today the wondrous mix of virtuous wisdom our God has availed to us by His Spirit.
