“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, Your God reigns!” (Isa 52:7).
There’s a beauty only reserved for those who share the Good News (the Gospel) with others. When we proclaim the Redemption Story, our feet are deemed beautiful. But why feet, when the Word is shared largely by means of our lips?
Among other reasons, one is that our feet represent mobility. When we take the initiative to move from our comfort zones in the service of the Gospel, God approves.
Secondly, feet represent stability. When we stand unashamedly for the Good News of Christ, God is pleased (see Rom 1:16).
Thirdly, feet represent lifestyle, that is, one’s walk. When we walk worthy of the Gospel, our Father is glorified (Col. 1:10). May your mobility, stability and obedience in the service of the Gospel be robust. May your feet be truly beautiful!
