“The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted” (Pro 10:24).
You cannot bank on your integrity alone to automatically supply your need. Nor can you just bank on tactless, numerous prayers. Your passion matters. Now, can right desires be generated? Thankfully, yes! There is a direct relation between your focus and your feelings. Your focus determines your passion.
The wicked’s fears come from the evil thoughts that consume their minds. The righteous’ fulfilment comes from their faith-full thoughts. That’s why biblical meditation is essential for every believer’s success (see Ps 1:2-3). That’s why we must strictly govern what ideas enter our hearts (Pro 4:23).
Whatever challenge you face, don’t let your mind wander randomly. Let God’s Word inform your thinking in every situation. Meditate upon God’s Word and His love until it becomes your own passion. Then His thoughts and ways will shape yours (see Isa 55:8-9). His will and your desire will match. Then your desire shall be granted. Guaranteed!
