“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also” (Jo 14:19).

A fundamental distinction between the world and believers is the ability to see Jesus. Have you heard sinners mock our unwavering faith in an invisible God? They’re right in a sense–because to them He’s not real. Their eyes are blinded by the God of this world, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Cor. 4:4).

Is it not ironic that often it’s the unenlightened that ridicule the enlightened? We shouldn’t mock them back, but have compassion and pray that the scales in their eyes may be removed, in like fashion to Saul of Tarsus (Ac 9:18). Oh that we would see the Lord and share His life eternal!
