Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.
The church’s constant prayers for their imprisoned leader triggered divine intervention. Peter would likely have been executed as James was, if the saints hadn’t prayed for him (see Ac 12:1-4). How many spiritual generals are we losing prematurely today because the church isn’t praying for them? When the shepherd and flock work in close partnership, the results are out of this world! Literally.
