2 Corinthians 9:10
Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.

Like the widow of Zarephath, most people have seeds they don’t know. As a rule, God supplies everyone with both bread and seed. But He ONLY multiplies what we give Him. Only what we plant counts as seed. Our seed can be cash, goods, time, skills or talent. May the Lord enable us to treat our bread and seed wisely. Bread is anything you eat or spend, while seed is anything you sow or invest. Bread is enjoyed in the present, but seed creates a future harvest. May God multiply every seed you’ve sown–good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over (Lu 6:38)!
