1 Peter 2:17
Honour all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
One of the most powerful seeds we can all sow is honour. In this context, honour refers to the practice of showing due respect to someone. Honour builds, while dishonour destroys. Honour appreciates and protects, but dishonour despises and exposes. The seed of honour will yield manifold blessings when sown habitually. Let us sow such seeds generously–to our parents, spouses, leaders, pastors, employers and colleagues. (See also Gen. 9:19-27; Ex. 20:12; Rom 13:7; 1 Pet. 3:7).
