Deuteronomy 34:9
And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Both here and in the New Testament, the practice of impartation by the laying on of hands is demonstrated. As successor to Moses’ awesome leadership, Joshua needed a special unction for the divine assignment. How many leaders struggle today simply because they lack the necessary unction? They have intelligence, experience and influence but lack prudence. What they lack is the vital ingredient for effective leadership. In whatever sphere of leadership we find ourselves in, wisdom is indispensable. Only the Spirit of wisdom, the Holy Spirit, fits the bill. And the appropriate laying on of hands will help. Find your Moses and get your impartation!
