Revelation 3:6
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
At face value, this oft-repeated refrain seems like stating the obvious. But you’ll be amazed how many of us never utilise their physical ears to spiritual advantage. Yes, we talk a lot about the ears of our hearts, but God expects us to use the ears of our heads to receive heavenly communication. In fact, our physical nature is an integral part of our spiritual reality. That’s why the Bible talks about our obligation to glorify God in our bodies (1 Cor. 6:20). Beloved, the fact that we have ears is an indication that we have the capacity to hear God. We must refuse to have ears that only receive worldly information and are deaf to divine revelation!
