He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens.
The key of David is a metaphor of the Messiah’s divine authority on behalf of His redeemed community (see Isa 22:22). Jesus’ messianic key has awesome power to lock and unlock doors with lasting results. As far as opening doors goes, we must understand that our Lord creates irreversible opportunities. When He says yes, nobody’s no matters. No one shall deny you what Jesus has granted you. May the door of blessing, favour, prosperity and success in life and ministry be permanently open over you! As far as shutting doors goes, we must understand that our Lord closes certain threats permanently. When Jesus says no, nobody’s yes matters. No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper. Whatever threats have been rearing their ugly heads shall be dealt with once and for all by the Holy One of Israel. May the door of sin, poverty, fear, failure and disease be shut behind you permanently!
