Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

It’s one thing to serve Jesus. It’s quite another to have communion with Him. The former is about what we do FOR Him. The latter is about how we interact WITH Him. The former is about religion while the latter is about relationship. Religion emphasises rules and rituals. Relationship stresses love and life. The former is about servanthood while the latter is about friendship. One concerns fear while the other concerns mutual fellowship. Jesus desires dialogue with us rather than a monologue. We must enjoy rather than endure our time with Christ. We must have quality time with Him rather than quantity time. Don’t measure your spiritual life in numerical terms–Christianity is not statistics! How is your walk with Christ dear friend these days? Would you describe your Christian experience as dining with Jesus or as a religious burden? Is your prayer life a necessary chore or an intimate dinner with Jesus? It can change today!
