Revelation 5:1
Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
The scroll in this context represents
God’s decrees for the destiny of humanity and all creation. Now, there are several complications regarding the unfolding of our final chapter.
Today we only note that the location of the scroll is significant. It’s in the right hand of God. That means our destiny is in very safe hands–nay, in the safest hands ever. Therefore the conclusion of human history is not in the hands of devils, people, aliens, politicians, voters, scientists, random chance, fickle nature or blind fate. It’s not dependent on UN, NATO, AU, EU, WTO, SADC or any other forum’s decisions!
Omnipotent security controls the release of the final chapter of His Redemption Story. Therefore, this “complication” is also a consolation, beloved. Let us therefore cast away all fears about the future. The words of that old song still ring true today: “He’s got the whole world in His hands.” Bless His holy name!
