1 Corinthians 8:11
And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
We have seen that the Lamb of God occupies the very heart, hub and nucleus of Heaven’s Throne (Rev 5:6). But what does it mean for us in practice to place the Cross at the core of our lives here on earth? How does putting Calvary at the very centre of our day-to-day interactions with people look like today?
Beloved, our treatment of others must be guided by our knowledge of their redemption by Christ (1 Cor. 8:11). That means we must learn to look at people strictly through Calvary glasses.
In fact, that concerns the value we place upon people. What determines people’s worth is not their health, wealth, education, class, race, age, gender or creed. It’s not their beauty, residence, religion, goodness, works, title, skill or fame. Only one thing defines every human’s value–the price God paid for their purchase.
The Word of God states categorically that we were NOT bought with silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, the Lamb without blemish and without spot (1 Pet 1:18-19).
Let us revalue everyone around us upwards beloved, because of their high redemption price. Let us treat one another only in the light of the precious blood of Christ. Hallelujah!
