Revelation 5:12
Saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive…glory and blessing!”

The sixth basis on which the innumerable angels, the living animals and the twenty four elders in heaven worship Jesus is His GLORY.

The rich concept of glory (doxa) literally denotes something that is very apparent. Figuratively it denotes dignity, honour, praise, applause, credit, recognition, great beauty, splendour or magnificence.

Beloved, for every blessing, success, achievement, favour, opportunity, promotion, deliverance, breakthrough, ONLY Jesus deserves the glory–all the credit, applause, praise and recognition.

The Bible says we must give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name, and bring an offering as we come into His courts (Ps 96:8).

It also says, “Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake” (Ps 115:1) and “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images” (Isa 42:8).

Today let us refuse to accept any glory (praise, credit or recognition) and let us ascribe all the glory to the One who deserves it all–the precious Lamb of God.
