1 Thessalonians 4:13
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren…

Good, intelligent, born-again and Spirit-filled believers are perfectly capable of being ignorant of eternal realities. But that is clearly not God’s will at all.

It can’t be His will because such ignorance is extremely costly. The Bible says God’s people perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Yet God so loved the world… that we should NOT perish (John 3:16).

Apart from the indescribable gift of His Son, God gave us His Spirit and His Word. Therefore ignorance is certainly no defence and not an option. Why should heaven excuse our ignorance of that which the freely Scriptures reveal?

Beloved, we owe it to ourselves to be informed regarding God’s prophetic calendar. It’s not right for us to be familiar with our national calendars, Olympic events, and other social programmes, but illiterate as far as eternal events are concerned! Neither should we think that our sincerity can be a substitute for knowledge.

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come” (2 Tim 3:1). I declare in the name of Jesus that you shall be well-informed regarding our Lord’s prophetic calendar and you will not be left behind when the roll is called up yonder.
