Isaiah 46:9-10
Remember what happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and no one is like Me. I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: My plan will take place, and I will do all My will.
Our best sports, weather, economic and political experts can only predict future events on the basis of observation, experience, or scientific reason. They can work things out on the basis of observed trends, factors and patterns and then inferring likely outcomes. Sometimes it’s just good guesstimating!
However, we must never reduce God to our level, beloved! Whatever you go through, remember there’s no person, power, leader, expert, friend or Lord like Him. There’s no God like Jehovah!
Before there are trends and patterns to extrapolate, He knows the future. Whereas our plans are subject to change as various factors play their part, His plans are guaranteed success. His will will prevail. It will because He is not a spectator in life’s events. He’s the omnipotent, prime mover, author and finisher of our faith.
Only He holds our future in His hand. History is His story. Let’s trust Him like never before. Let’s believe His word about the last days. He knows what He’s talking about–perfectly!
