1 Corinthians 1:30-31
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”
Let’s face it brethren, the temptation to brag about our achievements, our genius, knowledge, experience and so forth can be quite strong for mortal humans–saved or otherwise. However, we should only boast in Jesus. Let us never boast about ourselves. Let us rather celebrate the great things He has done for us. For that we have full bragging rights!
Beloved, Jesus is not some optional Saviour, an addendum, surplus or extracurricular personage. He is the be all and end all of life! All wisdom originates in Jesus. All knowledge flows from Him. All power and all authority derive from Him. True love, true peace, real joy and real beauty emanate from Him.
History culminates in Jesus Christ. Dominion and blessings proceed from Him. All glory and honour belong to the Lamb of God. To know Him is to know life. To praise and serve Him is to gain. Jesus is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. Hallelujah!
