Jeremiah 18:6
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!

The Bible states categorically that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). The heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it (Jer. 17:9)? The moral decline of all our human societies is plain for all to see. Even genuine Christians often stumble and fall, in spite of themselves.

Years ago one Caribbean singer took the musical airwaves by storm with a song titled, “Remake the world”. How appropriate that was! Of late that has become the clarion call of every genuine soul in every family and nation worldwide as we’ve watched the moral fabric of our society disintegrate right before our eyes. We’ve all stood by helplessly as we’ve witnessed the decline of common decency, as well as the rise of human trafficking, enslavement and exploitation, among other personal, social and global ills.

Glory to the heavenly Potter, who is capable of remaking our world! Our God is in the business of refashioning ruined lives. He specialises in healing broken hearts, renewing tainted minds and restoring fractured relationships. He can put together your shattered dreams once again, dear friend. He can give you a divine makeover. Will you let Him?
